The spokesperson of Sindh Health Department says that cases of drug resistance typhoid have been confirmed in different areas of Karachi.
The spokesperson of the Sindh Health Department has instructed the Director Health to take immediate steps to confirm the cases.
They have reported that in drug-resistant typhoid, common anti-typhoid drugs are not working on the patient.
The spokesman of the Sindh Health Department has further informed that the majority of patients are children and women.
The spokesperson of the Sindh Health Department also says that an alert has been issued to the private and government hospitals of the city in this regard.
