Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed has said that Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory and holding an international meeting in a disputed territory is a violation of the UN Charter and international norms.

In his statement issued from the European Headquarters Brussels, Chairman Kashmir Council EU said that India has committed an illegal act by calling the G20 meeting in Srinagar, the capital of Occupied Kashmir.

He said that we have written a letter to the European authorities earlier and told them that Kashmir is a disputed area and there are also UN resolutions on this issue. To resolve this conflict, it is necessary to give Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

Chairman Kashmir Council EU asserted that G20 countries should not participate in this meeting at all. These countries should be aware of the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir, and should also know that the Indian occupying authorities cannot change the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir by convening the G20 meeting in Srinagar, the capital of Occupied Kashmir.

It should be noted that the Indian government has announced that it will hold a meeting of the G20 Tourism Working Group in Srinagar on May 22.

Ali Raza Syed said that the Indian announcement of calling an international meeting in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir is illegal and all Kashmiris are protesting against it.

Chairman Kashmir Council EU said that the reality of the disputed status of this region cannot be covered by the international event in Srinagar, the capital of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. To end the conflict in Kashmir, it is necessary to give the Kashmiris their right and find a peaceful and acceptable solution to the problem.

He said that convening the G20 meeting in Srinagar is illegal and unprincipled. India wants to continue its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir through such an illegal act, but the fact is that the Kashmir issue is an internationally recognized issue and international law and UN Security Council resolutions in this context. are present.

Ali Raza Syed strongly condemned the Indian move and said that the Jammu and Kashmir conflict has been unresolved for seven decades and is on the agenda of the United Nations.

He said that by convening an international meeting in a disputed area, India is not only ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations, but this move is also a violation of international norms.

Ali Raza Syed demanded that the international community, especially the G20 member countries, should be aware of the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir and the continuous killings of the people of the occupied part of the land by the Indian occupation forces.

Chairman Kashmir Council EU said that the international community, including the European Union, should take strict notice of this situation and play its role for a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue.
