Doing good became heavy, what happened to the man who fixed the pothole on the road?

Removing roadblocks is a laudable move, but in Italy, a citizen is forced to repair a broken road pothole and is fined millions of rupees.

Most people have heard the proverb that good is wasted, sin is necessary, its practical example has been seen in Italy where a pothole repairer has been fined heavily.

According to foreign media, this unique incident happened in the developed European country of Italy, where a citizen fixed a pothole on the road for the convenience of passengers, but instead of being praised, the government imposed a fine of millions of rupees on this person.

This strange incident is from Berlesina, a town in the Lombardy region of Italy, where a 30 cm hole was found on a road and the passers-by were facing difficulties in traffic.

Complaints were made to the local council several times to fix the pothole, but 72-year-old Claudio Trenta took it upon himself to fix the pothole and repaired it with a tar-like substance.

He should have been praised for solving the public problem, but on the contrary, Claudio Trenta was fined 882 euros (more than 273 thousand Pakistani rupees) by the traffic police.

Not only that, the traffic police also ordered Claudio Trenta to restore the pothole on the road to its original form.

In a Facebook post, the 72-year-old man shared a picture of the letter he received from the police.

The post charges Claudio Trenta with violating highway laws, saying he did a dangerous thing without permission in a public place.

Claudio replied to the notice saying that during the last 3 months he had complained about the pothole to the local authorities several times but nothing happened after which I did this. If they think I’m stupid, they’re wrong. They have pissed me off and now I am about to file a negligence complaint against the council.

The said person said that I did this work not for fame but in the spirit of humanitarian service and I will fight against this penalty till the end.

People from all over Italy expressed their solidarity with him on this post, while he is also being invited to various programs by the media.
