Peshawar: The leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa went into hiding for fear of arrest and closed all contact numbers.
After Imran Khan’s arrest, PTI workers staged violent protests in various cities of Pakhtunkhwa, including Peshawar, during which public and private properties were damaged.
Apart from this, government buildings, installations and ambulances were also set ablaze by angry protesters in Peshawar.

A little while ago, the police raided the houses of Speaker Provincial Assembly Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, former provincial ministers Kamran Bangash, Taimur Jhagra and other leaders, where no one could get hold of them.
Meanwhile, Murad Saeed has claimed that some powerful people have instructed the police to shoot me on sight. He also expressed fear in his video message that this may be my last message but you have to continue the struggle for Imran Khan and Pakistan.

Later, police registered cases against thousands of workers, including the PTI leadership, in various police stations, after which the provincial leadership went underground to avoid arrest.
According to sources, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leaders have switched off their mobile phones while they are also absent from social media.

Earlier PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Pervaiz Khattak had appealed to the workers to hold a peaceful protest.
