Karachi: In a joint operation in Jamshed Quarters of Shahr Quaid, the Rangers arrested the Lyari gang war operative who was extorting money from the builders red-handed.
According to a statement released by the Rangers spokesperson, the joint operation of the SIU police, based on modern techniques, conducted an operation in the area of Jamshed Quarters and arrested the extortionist, who was identified as Hasan Raza and belongs to Lyari. It’s from Gang Wars.
According to Rangers spokesperson, the accused demanded extortion from Builder Farrukh and threatened serious consequences if he did not pay it, later on May 3 this month, he called Builder Farrukh from different numbers and demanded immediate payment of one lakh rupees as extortion. They also threatened to kill and abduct the children if they did not give.
Rangers and SIU police arrested the accused red-handed while his accomplice Anas Aftab escaped from the spot and the search is on. According to the spokesperson of Rangers, the case of the incident has been registered in Jamshed Quarter Police Station, while the arrested accused has been handed over to the police for further legal action.
