Karachi: The Meteorological Department says that the heat wave may persist in the city of Quaid for the next few days.
According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi remained hot on Sunday and the maximum mercury was recorded at 35 degrees. In the afternoon, the south-westerly winds from the sea stopped and the western winds from Balochistan were severe. Due to overshooting, the intensity of heat was felt higher than the actual temperature.
According to the forecast of the Early Warning Center, hot and humid weather may be recorded in Karachi for the next few days, during which the maximum temperature is likely to be between 36 and 38 degrees.
On Sunday, the districts of rural Sindh were also gripped by intense heat, with Mohenjodaro recording the highest temperature of 43.5 degrees.
The Department of Meteorology says that the weather may remain dry and hot in most of the districts of the province for the next few days, the temperature is likely to exceed 44 degrees in the districts of Central and Upper Sindh. The unusual heat wave in the districts of rural Sindh may cause severe heat for the next several days.
