During the ceremony, a data exchange agreement was signed between the FBR and the Federal Customs Service of Russia. Under the MoU, the two countries will cooperate with each other on customs-related matters.
Russian Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov, speaking at the ceremony, said that the Commission is grateful to Pakistan for holding the meeting, will increase cooperation with Pakistan in the dairy sector, will continue to cooperate in setting up export industry in Pakistan, both countries will benefit from the agreements. The relations will be further promoted, short and long term projects have been agreed with Pakistan, will promote road transport with Pakistan, will cooperate with Pakistan in the field of oil and gas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Federal Minister Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that significant progress has been made on cooperation in the energy sector, agreement has been reached in the fields of energy, agriculture, finance, trade, investment, customs, between Pakistan and Russia. A gas pipeline project was also considered.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq further said that more agreements will be made to increase relations with Russia.
Declaration continues
The announcement of the three-day meeting of the Inter-Governmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Pakistan and Russia was issued.
According to the declaration, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Russian President Vladimir Putin, it was also decided to increase cooperation between the two countries and strengthen economic relations.
The two countries have agreed to increase cooperation in trade, investment, energy, communication and transport, Pakistan and Russia also agree on cooperation in higher education, industry, railways, finance and banking sector, customs, agriculture, science and technology, It has also been agreed to cooperate in information technology sectors.
According to the declaration, it has also been agreed to finalize the procedures for cooperation in the oil and gas sector by March. There will be economic improvement for the people of the region.
