No belongings were taken from the slain policeman
Karachi: A police officer was killed in a firing incident near the Green Line bus stop in Sarjani.
According to the rescue and police officials, the officer posted at Mangho Peer police station was identified as Azim Iqbal, who was riding a motorcycle in plain clothes when the unknown accused opened fire and escaped.
According to the police, no items were stolen from the victim. A 30-bore pistol, mobile phone, wallet, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the officer. The deceased official, a resident of Sarjani Town, had gone to a wedding ceremony last night.
The police recovered 30 bore pistol shells from the spot and started investigating the incident.
