Establishment of Coordination Committee comprising Arts Council to promote arts and culture of Sindh

Karachi: To promote the arts and culture of Sindh, a coordination committee consisting of arts councils across Sindh has been established, headed by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi President Mohammad Ahmad Shah and Secretary Sukkur Arts Council President Mumtaz Bukhari.

According to the details, the presidents and secretaries of all arts councils across Sindh will be members of this committee. It will be mobilized for the promotion of art, culture and literature.

It was held in a meeting held in the committee room of Arts Council Karachi under the chairmanship of Provincial Minister for Culture and Education Sardar Ali Shah, in which the presidents and secretaries of arts councils across Sindh participated in addition to the officers of Sindh Culture Department.

In the meeting, it was said that the services rendered by Arts Council Karachi under the leadership of President Ahmed Shah in the promotion of art, culture and literature should be implemented as a model throughout Sindh, Arts Council Sindh Coordination Committee should be established. The purpose of which is to activate the Arts Council across Sindh and promote art and culture.

It was decided in the meeting that the coordination committee will mobilize other arts councils of Sindh like Karachi throughout the year and will take steps to promote the culture and literature of Sindh.

It was decided in the meeting that the coordination committee will establish painting, theater and music academies in other arts councils of Sindh, where education and training will be given in various departments of arts and arts.
