Karachi: As a result of an explosion inside a house in Mehmoodabad area of Shahr Quaid, one person was killed while three people were injured with burn injuries while panic spread after the incident.
According to the details, a loud explosion in Qaim near TP-2 Bismillah Bakery in Mehmoodabad area spread fear and panic in the area, hearing the sound of which residents came out of their houses. As soon as the incident was reported, the police and Chippa volunteers reached the spot and shifted the injured to Jinnah Hospital.
In this regard, SHO Mehmoodabad Ijaz Pathan said that the explosion took place in a factory manufacturing motorcycle tire tubes, as a result of which 45-year-old Faiz Muhammad was killed, while 3 people, 24-year-old Manoor, 31-year-old Junaid and 27-year-old Owais were injured. Done. The body of the deceased was taken to Jinnah Hospital by the police for post-mortem.
He said that the explosion occurred due to high gas pressure during tube weaving, which resulted in cracks in the walls of the factory built in the rented house and the house was also severely damaged. The dead and injured persons were employees of the factory, but the police is getting information in this regard.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured due to a fire in the stove during the factory work near Fishery. They were taken to Civil Hospital Burns Center by Edhi Ambulance. According to rescue officials, the injured were identified as 30-year-old Azim and 45-year-old Jahangir. Police is conducting further investigation in this regard.
