Arab League meeting: Syria agrees to curb drug trafficking

Oman: Syria has agreed to cooperate with Jordan and Iraq to end drug trafficking through its borders.

According to international media reports, a historic meeting was held in Jordan’s capital Amman to end the 12-year conflict in Syria, in which diplomats from the Gulf countries, including Syria, participated.

The foreign ministers of Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Jordan met to discuss how to normalize relations with Syria.

A statement released after the meeting said diplomats from the participating countries discussed facilitating voluntary repatriation routes for millions of displaced Syrians and coordinated efforts to combat drug trafficking across Syria’s borders.
