Islamabad: The Ministry of Finance released the economic report for April of this financial year, according to which expenditure, increase in fiscal deficit, decrease in remittances, exports, investment were recorded.
The report has reviewed the economic performance from July to March of this financial year. According to the report, remittances decreased by 10.8 percent to 20.5 billion dollars from July to March, while exports decreased by 11 percent to 21.1 billion dollars during the same period and the financial deficit increased to 2392 billion rupees compared to last year.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the fiscal deficit from July to March of last financial year was 2273 billion rupees, from July to March, annual development funds were spent at 287 billion with a decrease of more than 31%, while in this financial year, from July to March, foreign investment recorded a decrease of 98%. went
According to the report, foreign exchange reserves decreased to 10 billion dollars from July to March of this financial year, while foreign exchange reserves during the same period last fiscal year were 16.57 billion dollars.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the inflation rate from July to March of this fiscal year was 27.3 percent and the volume of imports so far this fiscal year was 41.5 billion dollars with a decrease of 21 percent.
According to the Ministry of Finance, inflation remained out of control in July-March of this financial year, the State Bank did not get the benefit of increasing the interest rate to 21%, while the inflation rate reached 35.4% and by the end of April last year, this rate was 31.5%. On the other hand, the price of essential commodities increased by 17 percent compared to last year.
