3 soldiers of Pakistan Army were martyred and 7 terrorists were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to ISPR, on the intervening night of April 27, 28, the security forces, fighting bravely, repulsed three terrorist attacks at different locations within a short period of time in Lakki Marwat district.
A motorcycle-borne suicide bomber blew himself up near a security forces outpost in Lakki Marwat, following which a fierce exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists.
Security forces effectively engaged the terrorists and killed 4 terrorists.
In two other encounters with terrorists in Amir Kalam and Tajbi Khel area of Lakki Marwat district, 3 more terrorists including terrorist commander Musa Khan were killed. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the dead seven terrorists.
Naib Subidar Taj Mir, Havaldar Zakir Ahmad and Sepoy Abid Hussain were martyred during the fierce exchange of fire.
According to ISPR, operation clean-up is being conducted in the areas to eliminate the presence of any other terrorists in the area.
