7 members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced to return to Parliament yesterday and went back after protesting at the main gate.
PTI leaders were once again barred from entering the Parliament House, with heated exchanges between the police and PTI members.
Due to the protest of PTI leaders, Iran’s ambassador was also trapped. He came to Parliament House.
Iran’s ambassador was trapped inside the Parliament House due to the protests, security escorted the ambassador through an alternative route.
The resigned PTI members staged a dharna at the main gate of the Parliament House. The resigned MLAs raised slogans against the Speaker, the Prime Minister and the Home Minister.
The resigned members said that if they are not allowed to enter the parliament in 5 minutes, they will give the next plan of action.
Faheem Khan, Aftab Hussain Siddiqui, Saifur Rehman, Aftab Jahangir, Aslam Khan, Attaullah Khan and Jahangir Alam were among those who staged a sit-in.
