Sui Northern Gas Company has increased the monthly rent of gas meter from Rs.40 to Rs.500 which notification has also been issued.
According to the ongoing notification, after the gas tariff, the monthly charges of the gas meter have also been increased, even if the user does not use gas, he will have to pay a minimum bill of Rs 500 per month.
The notification states that these charges will be applicable from January 2023, customers will have to pay 3 months arrears in addition to meter rent and gas tariff.
Sui Northern Gas Company has started sending the money by adding it to the gas bills every month.

The spokesman of the Sui Northern Gas Company has said that this decision will not apply to those with a gas bill of less than 0.9 cubic hectares in November and December.
The spokesperson of Sui Northern Gas Company further said that customers who use less gas will be satisfied with the increase in meter rent.
A spokesman for Sui Northern Gas Company also said that despite the increase in meter rent, gas is still cheaper than LPG, wood and coal.
