Initial investigation report prepared on bomb blasts at CTD police station in Kabul

Peshawar: A preliminary investigation report has been prepared on the bomb blasts in the CTD police station in Swat’s Kabal.

The report said that there was no information about the entry of any terrorist into the police station, the first explosion took place at 8:20 and the second at 8:25.

The report states that a day before the incident, two suspected terrorists were brought to the CTD police station who died in the blast. The accused were brought to the police station in a case of terrorism.

According to the report, there was a warehouse of Malakand region in the Kabul CTD police station where the ammunition of the last three to four years was present. Three to four hundred kilograms of explosives, mortars, seven RPG shells were lying there.

The report said that the Kabul CTD police station was located in the safest place, there are two security check posts in front of the police station, there were five personnel on the security of the police station.

Meanwhile, the clearance operation of Pakistan Army on the damaged building of CTD police station in Kabul is going on, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of Pakistan Army Peshawar Corps has cleared 80% of the ground and first floor of the CTD building.

The damaged basement will be cleared by crane by tomorrow, with around 307 ordnance recovered including grenades, rocket launchers and heavy weapons.

Pakistan Army’s aid, rescue and demining expert teams are working day and night to clear the building.
