The West African country of Burkina Faso is currently one of the most unstable and impoverished countries in the world, which is also struggling with an insurgency in neighboring Mali.

Bodies piled up at a nearby hospital while around 100 injured were given medical aid, 10 of whom are in the intensive care ward due to their critical condition.

It may be recalled that a week ago, 6 soldiers and 34 defense volunteers were killed in an attack by militants near Orima village of the provincial capital.

Al-Qaeda was blamed by the government, but no militant organization has yet claimed responsibility for these two attacks in one week.

To combat the insurgency and insurgency, the military government of Burkina Faso has announced a call for basic training and recruitment into the armed forces for all physically fit persons over the age of 18.

Burkina Faso’s interim president, Captain Ibrahim Taur, has announced the recapture of 40 percent of the country’s territory that was held by anti-government militants.

According to non-governmental aid groups, more than 10,000 people have been killed and 2 million displaced in just two years of clashes between the government and rebels.
