Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has consulted on forming a new committee to address the concerns of workers on the distribution of tickets for the general elections in Punjab.
According to sources, the proposed review committee under the chairmanship of Imran Khan will include party vice-chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, general secretary Asad Umar and other leaders.
It may be recalled that the PTI Chairman had said in a statement yesterday that the process of reconsideration of petitions against distribution of tickets will begin tomorrow and will continue till April 26.
It should be noted that PTI leaders and workers had protested on the ticket distribution issue in Zaman Park.
Zaheer Abbas Khokhar did not get a ticket from Provincial Assembly Constituency PP 162 Lahore, his supporters protested.
PTI workers from another constituency PP 158 Lahore also protested in Zaman Park.
Activists opposed giving ticket to Meher Sharaft Ali from PP 158.
The protesters demanded that Imran Khan should give tickets to a local leader from PP 158.
