The European Union has said that it is closely monitoring the volatile political situation in Pakistan and we look forward to an orderly constitutional path to political stability in Pakistan.
These views were expressed by Nabila Misrali, the spokesperson of the European External Action Service, during the mid-day briefing of the European Commission in response to a question asked about security and political stability in Pakistan in the context of the Peshawar bombing last day.
The spokesperson said that we are keeping a close eye on the political situation in Pakistan, which continues to fluctuate. We look forward to an orderly constitutional path for Pakistan to move forward in an area of political stability, which is in the political, economic and security interests of both Pakistan and the European Union.
Earlier, about the security situation in Pakistan, spokesperson Nabila Misrali said, ‘We have seen the reports of yesterday’s explosion in the mosque where people were gathered for worship. At this point, we are waiting for the report from Pakistan’s security agencies.
On this occasion, the European spokesperson expressed his condolences for those killed in the blast and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Along with this, he also condemned elements who violate national and international laws by targeting places of worship.
