Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leader Hamid Khan and Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja are also surprised at the formation of a larger bench.
Hamid Khan said in his statement that he thinks that the Supreme Court should have been a full court in the matter of the bill.
He further said that now there is an impression that a bench consisting of judges of the Supreme Court who are on one side has been formed.
On the other hand, in an interview, Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that seeing the formation of the bench was a blow.
He said that if there is any flaw in the law, it should have been placed before the entire Supreme Court.
It should be noted that petitions against the bill to amend the self-notice authority of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) have been scheduled for hearing.
An 8-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hear the petitions today.
