There will be very few people who have not seen Amitabh Bachchan’s 1977 film ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, which tells the story of three brothers who are separated as children and then brought up in different homes. Among them, Amar is brought up in a Hindu family, Akbar is brought up in a Muslim family while Anthony is brought up in a Christian family.

In the film, the three brothers are shown to be united and have a love for each other despite being brought up in families belonging to different religions.

Shah Rukh Khan has said in a press conference held regarding the film ‘Pathan’ that films are made to convey the message of religious harmony and love.

Referring to the movie ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, King Khan said that Deepika is Amar, I am Shah Rukh Khan Akbar and this is John Abraham Anthony.

He said that the purpose of the cinema is to convey that there is no discrimination between Amar, Akbar and Anthony, there is no discrimination in our hearts for any person, for any culture, and for any aspect of life.

Addressing the participants of the event, King Khan said that we love you that’s why we make films, we want you to love us in return because we are all hungry for love.

Shah Rukh Khan interestingly said that while sitting here in the press conference it was being said that the film earned so many hundred crores but it is not important how many crores we earned, the biggest reward for a film. It happens that people like and love us a lot after watching our film.

He thanked the fans for liking the movie ‘Pathan’ and giving immense love to the cast and said that we should keep our culture alive and present the beautiful old stories of the country we live in India in a modern and different way. I should be presented on the screen.

Shah Rukh Khan also said that if we are telling our old stories in a different way, it does not mean that we are dividing people, but we are just trying to speak in the language of the youth. There are those who are different from us.
