The Supreme Court accepted the government’s request for respite in the case related to appointments in the Gilgit-Baltistan High Court.
A 3-member bench headed by Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan heard the case.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman asked the court for respite and said that Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan will prepare and appear himself.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman said that the court is requested to give adequate time.
The petitioner’s lawyer, Makhdoom Ali Khan, said that the government wants the appeal law to come in the meantime, the government should fulfill this wish.
The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 3.
