Washington: In an American report, it was recommended to write off the debt of 520 billion dollars of distressed economies including Pakistan.

According to a private TV, the report of the American institution said that the debt of 520 billion dollars owed by the economies suffering from economic crisis should be forgiven.

Countries such as Pakistan, Malawi and Ethiopia are facing economic downturns and financial pressures due to the recent climate crisis, the report said.

The report says that debt relief for developing countries at risk of bankruptcy would improve their financial situation and meet climate and development goals.
