Islamabad: Islamabad High Court reserved the decision after hearing the petition against acceptance of resignation of PTI leader Shandana Gulzar as Member of Assembly.
During the hearing, a contempt petition was also heard against the Election Commission for not implementing the court order, while the officials of the Election Commission also appeared in the court.
The Election Commission officials gave arguments in the court and said that the case of Shakur Shad of the same type is going on in the court of the Chief Justice. Important remarks of the Chief Justice have come in the last hearing. Going back by resigning will set a wrong trend going forward.
Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb remarked that whoever resigns, keep him straight. During the hearing, PTI leader Shandana Gulzar also appeared in the court along with her lawyer.
The Islamabad High Court reserved its decision in the case after hearing the arguments.
