Karachi: With the help of federal sensitive agency, CTD investigation department arrested three suspects and seized a consignment of weapons from their possession while conducting operations near Aram shopping mall on Sher Shah Suri highway. 3 suspects were arrested in the seizure of weapons.
According to the details, with the help of the federal sensitive agency, the counter-terrorism department investigation department conducted an operation near the Aram shopping mall located on the Sher Shah Suri highway within the limits of Timuria police station and recovered a large number of weapons hidden in the secret boxes of the passenger bus registration number LES 1737 coming from Peshawar to Karachi. Three suspects Wasal Hussain Afridi, Yasar Mohmand and Atta Muhammad Afridi were arrested.
Among the weapons recovered are 1 LMG, 6 9mm pistols, 8 bore pistols, 1 pen pistol, 16 small magazines and 950 bullets, according to DSP Investigation CTD Chaudhry Safdar. The city was likely to be used for terrorist activities, Mukhtiar Chand, the brother of the arrested accused Yasir, was arrested yesterday by the Sukkur police while transferring a large arms camp from Peshawar to Sukkur. The supplier has been arrested.
