The US has expressed regret over Pakistan’s non-participation in the Democracy Summit.
US State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel said during a press briefing that we have a deep security partnership with Pakistan.
He said that he keeps talking to Pakistan about democracy, human rights, freedom of expression and religion.
Vedant Patel further said that Pakistan has the authority to take decisions regarding the summit, and will continue to work with Pakistan.
