In Sindh Boards, instead of appointments on merit, the notification of the transfer authority for important posts has been issued


Instead of eradicating corruption in education boards of Sindh and making appointments on merit, for the first time in the history of the province, the chairman, secretary, moderator of examinations, audit officer and other employees were transferred and appointed from one board to another board in the education boards of Sindh. A formal notification has been issued after approval.

According to the notification, the controlling authority (Boards of Ministers and Universities) will have the power to transfer and appoint the Chairman, Secretary, Controller of Examinations, Audit Officer of the Board of Education, while the Secretary Boards and Universities will have the power to transfer employees of Grade 17 and below and There will be an option of placement.

However, it will not apply to the technical boards because the controlling authority of the technical board is the Chief Minister of Sindh.

It should be remembered that the posts of secretary, moderator of examinations and audit officer have been lying vacant for the last 5 years in the 8 education boards of Sindh and either clerks are working on these posts after being promoted or very junior officers and officers from other departments are appointed. While the post of chairman has been vacant for three years in five education boards.

Nawabshah Education Board Chairman Dr. Farooq Hasan is basically the Vice Chancellor of Skrand University, Technical Board Chairman Dr. Masroor Shaikh’s term has completed 2 years ago and he is retired.

In Sukkur Board, 19 grade Acting Chairman Rafiq Ahmed Pul is appointed while Mirpurkhas Board Chairman Barkat Hydari’s term has completed 2 years ago and he also has the additional charge of the post of Hyderabad Board Chairman.

It should be remembered that the Sindh High Court has banned retired, OPS, double charge and deputation, but the Department of Boards and Universities is far from following it, it itself has appointed 18 such officers and employees. .
