7-year-old student’s father beating teacher [فائل فوٹو]
The parents of a class II student have been arrested for beating up a teacher in a school in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
According to Indian media, the incident took place in a school in the city of Thoothukudi in the state of Tamil Nadu, where the parents allegedly beat up the teacher for beating their 7-year-old daughter, but the teacher has denied the allegations.
The teacher has been identified as R Bharat. In the three-minute video, the couple can be seen entering their child’s classroom and arguing with the teacher for allegedly hitting the girl.
The mother, named Selvi, told the teacher that hitting children was illegal. Who gave you this right? Now I will hit you with my slipper while father Sivalingam runs after him in the school to kill the teacher.
According to reports, the father also tried to throw an object at the teacher, which was probably a stone. The police also arrested the husband and wife and the girl’s grandfather.
The child reportedly went home and first narrated the story of the teacher’s alleged torture to his grandfather. Superintendent of Police Dr L Balaji Saravanan says that we have registered a case for assaulting the parents, making criminal threats, conspiracy and obstructing a public servant from duty. Further investigations are underway.
