Report sought from IG on judicial complex riot, contempt of court petition

Islamabad: On the contempt of court plea against Imran Khan in the case of creating law and order situation in the judicial complex, the High Court has sought a report from the IG Islamabad and the administration by April 7.

A hearing was held on the contempt of court petition of Assistant Commissioner Abdullah against Imran Khan. Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the petition, the petitioner’s lawyer Raja Rizwan Abbasi appeared before the court.

The court directed to link this case with the missing file of the Tosha Khana criminal case and sought a report from the IG Islamabad and the Islamabad administration regarding the events of March 18.

Assistant Commissioner Abdullah as a petitioner has taken a stand in his petition that the court order was that Imran Khan would not create a law and order situation but Imran Khan violated the court order. The PTI workers pelted stones on the police and the judicial complex due to which the police personnel were injured.

The police had made security arrangements as per the court order, but Imran Khan did not obey even one court order of March 17, so Imran Khan should be summoned and action should be taken according to the law.

The court adjourned further hearing of the case till April 7.
