The General Council of Muslim League (Q) has elected former Governor Chaudhry Sarwar as the President of Punjab.
The meeting of the General Council of Q-League was chaired by President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
In the meeting, the Provincial Council of the Q-League elected Chaudhry Sarwar as the President of Punjab and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain as the General Secretary.
Chaudhry Sarwar and Chaudhry Shafi Hussain were elected unopposed in the meeting.
In the meeting, Chaudhry Salik Hussain was elected Central Senior Vice President, Mustafa Malik as Central Information Secretary.
In the meeting, it was decided that Chaudhry Sarwar will also be the central chief organizer of the party, while the central council also elected 150 members of the central working committee.
During the meeting Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that after 50 years of political journey, he has not seen such complicated situations.
He said that the politicians should pour water on the burning fire, the country cannot afford to be encircled, the government should start a national dialogue, be ready to go to the angry national leaders.
The Q-League leader further said that the nation is worried and depressed due to riots and sit-ins and their frustration is increasing. The solution to the problems lies with the politicians. All forces should think of Pakistan together.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that he is grateful to Chaudhry Shujaat and the entire party for the full confidence of the Muslim League.
He said that all together will make the Muslim League an alternative political force, the Muslim League will achieve key success in the upcoming elections. Will clear the country’s debt in 5 years.
Tariq Bashir Cheema said that the country was developing, the economy was damaged due to the wrong decisions of the previous government, the common man is suffering from inflation, all possible measures are being taken for relief.
Chaudhry Shafi Hussain said that it is an honor to become the general secretary of Muslim League Punjab, he will make the party active at all levels.
He said that he is proud of the workers, he will respect the real workers, it is the responsibility of all of us to organize the Q-League. They will not do traditional politics, they want real change in the country.
