Islamabad: American Ambassador Donald Bloom has said that there is scope for increasing trade with Pakistan.
The 2-day US-Pakistan Innovation Expo started yesterday at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts on behalf of the US Embassy in Islamabad. The aim of the exhibition is to highlight the success stories of new Pakistani business chains (start-ups) activated with the support of the US government. And to encourage more investment for them.
In his opening address at the event, US Ambassador Donald Bloom said that promoting inclusive economic growth and increasing trade and investment between the US and Pakistan is one of the top priorities of the US government, as the US is already the largest importer of Pakistani products. There is an export market, while we are seeing an increase in American investment in Pakistan year by year, but there is still scope for expanding bilateral trade.
The ambassador said that Pakistan is a country with immense potential, but there is an urgent need to promote innovation and technology to reach the next level of success.
