Lahore: Captain Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf became emotional after Lahore Qalandars’ second consecutive win in the Pakistan Super League.
In the final match of PSL 8 played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Qalandars defended the title for the second time in a row by defeating Multan Sultans by one run after a thrilling contest.
In the match, Shaheen Afridi showed an all-round performance and played an important role in the victory of the team by taking 44 wickets in 15 balls in the first batting and then in bowling. In the last over, Sultans needed 13 runs which could not be made by Sultans.

At the end of the match, the players and officials of Lahore Qalandars celebrated, while some people were also in tears for the victory. Shaheen Afridi’s eyes were wet in the stadium while bowler Haris Rauf was also seen crying in the stadium.

Speaking after receiving the award at the post-match prize distribution ceremony, Shaheen Afridi gave credit to coach Aqib Javed for Qalandars becoming champions. He made this victory in the name of his parents, people and institutions of Pakistan.
