Residents of the area have expressed their gratitude for the police operation in Zaman Park.
Women residents of Zaman Park said, “Thank you to the police who acted bravely and saved us.”
The women added that they can neither leave the house nor go anywhere, they have been facing problems since the end of October.
The women residents of Zaman Park also said that I am teaching in a college, I can’t even go to college, I am feeling relieved with the police operation, IG Punjab is very happy.
Resident women said that these people had come from somewhere outside, sent by Gandapur.
Punjab Police completed the Zaman Park operation, the government claimed to have cleared the Nogo area of Lahore.
In this regard, Caretaker Information Minister Aamir Mir held a press conference with IG Punjab.
IG Punjab Usman Anwar said that 61 people were arrested in the operation, there is video evidence against one person, it was known that a shot would be fired, the policemen were injured but still showed restraint.
He said that the police did not fire a single shot, the police went without weapons, petrol bombs were thrown at the DIG operations, police and rangers personnel, stones were pelted at the police.
IG Punjab further said that the police cleared the situation, the miscreants were arrested, bunkers are being built in Zaman Park, none of the arrested persons are innocent.
The agreement between the Punjab Police and the PTI broke down after the alleged firing from the roof of Zaman Park.
In an agreement signed yesterday under the supervision of the Lahore High Court, the PTI promised to cooperate with the police in the investigation.
The police launched the crackdown after a statement came out from a policeman, who said that he was fired upon from the rooftop of Zaman Park.
The police operation started when Imran Khan had left for Islamabad, according to PTI Chairman PTI’s wife Bushra Bibi was alone at home.
