Karachi: Accused Ravi Gopal, who was arrested in an injured condition after an alleged encounter by the Noorjahan highway police, disclosed that he had killed the builder last month during investigation.
According to the report, the accused, who was arrested in an injured condition by the Noorjahan highway police two days ago after an alleged encounter near Katti Pahari, has revealed during the investigation that he had killed the builder in the limits of Temuria police station.
The arrested accused, Ravi son of Gopal, revealed that at the time of arrest, his accomplice Bahadur Ali and Fazal Kala were also with him, but he ran away from the spot when he saw the police.
The accused Ravi Gopal told during the investigation that he has a 3-member group which has been involved in house robberies, street crimes and murders of citizens during robberies.
Accused Ravi confessed to shooting and killing builder Sameer on February 18, 2023 outside buffer zone sector 15/A-1 house number R/474 of Timuriya police station and said that builder Sameer killed one of his accomplices Rashid during the robbery. Killed by firing.
The accused said that on the occasion when Rashid was killed, Bahadur Ali was also with him, but he managed to escape.
According to the police, the accused has confessed to dozens of incidents during the investigation. The arrested accused and his accomplices used to shoot and injure citizens during street crime incidents so that they could escape easily.
It should be noted that the case of the murder of the deceased Sameer was registered under the charge No. 101/2023 under section 302, 397, 34 of the deceased 30-year-old Muhammad Sameer son of Muhammad Salim and his younger sister Ayesha.
