Lahore: The police arrested 24 workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on charges of clashes and disturbances in Zaman Park.
According to the police, apart from Lahore, the arrested workers also include workers from Sheikhupura, Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Azad Kashmir. The accused will be produced in the court on Thursday for remand.

Sources of Tehreek-e-Insaf say that the police have arrested more than 45 of their workers, while more than 50 workers have been injured by tear gas and lathi charge, who were given medical aid in the hospital.

Meanwhile, after two days of fierce clashes between police and protesters, the situation around Zaman Park has returned to normal, traffic has been restored on Canal Road, Mall Road, Garhi Shahu and nearby roads.
Women workers have also reached Tehreek-e-Insaaf camps outside Zaman Park, the containers placed on the sides of Canal Road have been removed.
