Federal Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir has said that construction and demolition are ongoing on the roads of Lahore.
While holding a press conference in Islamabad, the journalist asked Khuram Dastgir whether they are shutting off the electricity to Imran Khan’s house in Lahore.
On this, the Federal Minister said that we are not shutting down the electricity, but he himself blew up a transformer with a petrol bomb.
He said that the long-standing demand of the people of Gwadar for electricity has been fulfilled, an agreement has been reached to import an additional 100 MW of electricity from Iran.
Khurram Dastgir said that now Gwadar will get 24-hour electricity, soon the Prime Minister will inaugurate it.
The Federal Minister said that both the countries have completed the transmission line on their sides.
Khurram Dastgir said that a transmission line is also being built for power transmission from Thar, a big grid station will be built in Mansehra to take power from Bhasha Dam.
He said that the impact of climate change in Pakistan has been discussed in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, he said that Pakistan’s role in pollution is very little but Pakistan is bearing its losses a lot.
