Karachi: An 8-year-old child died after being hit on the head by a bullet coming from an unknown direction in Rais Amrohi Goth, Orangi Town.
According to the report, a young child was seriously injured by a bullet coming from an unknown direction in a house of Orangi Town Sector, 11.50 Rais Amrohi Goth area of Iqbal Market Police Station, who was first shifted to Qatar and later to Jinnah Hospital, where the child died during treatment. The deceased child was identified as 8-year-old Abdullah son of Ayaz Khan.
In this regard, SHO Awaqbal Market Amin Mughal told Express News that 8-year-old Abdullah was injured in the head by a bullet coming from an unknown direction at around 12:30 on Sunday night, but the child’s parents thought that their son had hit the corner of the dressing table. Injured by a blow to the head because earlier the son had been injured once or twice by being hit on the head by the corner of the dressing table.
Parents bandaged the child’s wound After five to six hours had passed, on Monday morning, the parents rushed the child to Qatar Hospital, where the child was injured by something else.
Later, the child was immediately taken to Jinnah Hospital where it was found that a bullet hit his head.
The SHO said that the house of the deceased child is dirty and there are rusty sheets of roofing sheets. Neither the child’s parents nor the police know where the blind bullet came from.
He said that the police have handed over the dead body of the girl to the heirs and started the investigation of the incident after taking legal action and efforts are being made to trace the accused.
It should be noted that in the past, 2 children have been killed by bullets coming from an unknown direction near Qayoumabad and Clifton Bilawal House Chowrangi, but the police still fail to track down the blind shooters.
