Rawalpindi: The larger bench of Lahore High Court Rawalpindi suspended the arrest warrant issued by Election Commission of Imran Khan.
An arrest warrant was canceled yesterday, March 14, with only one appearance.
Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry withdrew the petitions against the arrest warrant, the High Court larger bench disposed of the petitions based on the withdrawal. First, the Election Commission will decide the jurisdiction over the arrest warrant.
During the hearing, Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan remarked that each appearance has a separate appearance, canceling one appearance for tomorrow, March 14.
The court remarked that whatever decision the Election Commission takes regarding the jurisdiction of the hearing can be challenged. Arrest Warrant and Contempt Election Commission petition is also pending in Election Commission, how can we hear the matter pending in Election Commission, or withdraw the challenge jurisdiction petition in Election Commission or let Election Commission hear it.
The larger bench directed to inform its clients Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry with new instructions.
