Lahore: The district administration has decided not to grant permission to Tehreek-e-Insaf’s request for a rally in Lahore.

According to Express News, the district administration of Lahore has decided not to give permission to Tehreek-e-Insaf’s request for a rally in Lahore and the DC office has also written a letter to PTI.

The report said that the district intelligence committee held a review of the rally on February 11, which said that several threat alerts had been received indicating targeting of gatherings and sensitive installations, particularly in Lahore. Therefore, it is not appropriate to continue the rally in view of the security sensitivity of the PTI leadership in view of the possible threat.

It added that security personnel are already short due to pre-scheduled events including the PSL match, security of enumerators during Jashan Biharan events and census hence the recommendation to reschedule the rally. is done

The post from the DCO office further stated that it would not be possible to provide security during the rally in Lahore, DC office advised PTI not to hold the rally.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Interior Punjab has imposed a ban on any kind of rally or procession by imposing Section 144 in Lahore.
