Islamabad: The accountability court has issued a written decision to acquit Fawad Hasan Fawad, in which it has been said that the prosecution failed miserably to prove the crime against Fawad Hassan Fawad. Acquits.
According to Express News, in the written decision, the court said that 19 witnesses of the prosecution could not give any evidence against Fawad Hasan Fawad regarding assets in excess of income, NAB could not give any evidence that would show corruption against Fawad Hasan Fawad and his family. Corruption is not proven under the National Accountability Act without adding the element of public funds.
The verdict states that all the transactions in this case are of a private nature and do not involve government funds. It was said that he is not related to Fawad Hasan Fawad.
The court verdict said that there is nothing in the record that Fawad Hasan Fawad made the assets through corruption or improperly, the investigation of this case was not done properly.
