The anti-corruption department has resumed inquiries against former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and PTI leader Shireen Mazari.
Along with this, the former ministers of Punjab have also come on the anti-corruption radar.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar is accused of taking huge bribes from officials in development works contracts and transfer postings.
Inquiries against Usman Buzdar and Shireen Mazari were closed during the Parvez Elahi era.
According to the anti-corruption officials, the court did not agree on ending the land transfer case against PTI leader Shireen Mazari, on which the inquiry has been restarted.
Anti-corruption authorities have also launched investigations into the Department of Housing, Municipalities and Education. Harassment is also ready against DGLDs of Usman Buzdar and Parvez Elahi eras.
Records of all housing schemes, all schemes and tenders of Local Government Department and LDA have been sought during the tenure of former minister Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid.
The records of all the plans of the schools during the tenure of the former provincial education minister Murad Ras have also been sought.
According to DG Anti-Corruption Sohail Zafar Chatta, the innocent will not be tortured and the corrupt will not be spared.
