Peshawar: The provincial government and the governor came face to face over the issue of convening the meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
According to Express News, the governor could not sign the summary of calling the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly meeting, after which the assembly meeting has been called at 3 pm today on the requisition of the government members.
On non-signing of the summary, the provincial government made a requisition to call the meeting, which is signed by 39 government members.
The government members have called a meeting of the parliamentary party today.
On the other hand, Provincial Law Minister Aftab Alam has said that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa did not sign the summary. We waited for the summary till 10:30 today, but the summary did not come from the governor, after which we have exercised our constitutional right to call the assembly session. He said that the accounts of the caretaker government have to be approved.
