Pakhtunkhwa;  The number of people killed due to heavy rains has increased to 32, 41 injured

Peshawar: As a result of accidents due to heavy rains in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 32 people have been killed and 41 injured so far.

According to the report issued by PDMA, the provincial body dealing with natural disasters, 15 children, 12 men and 5 women were killed, while 6 women, 28 men and 7 children were injured.

A total of 1370 houses were damaged due to the collapse of walls and roofs in different districts, in which 160 houses were completely damaged and 1210 houses were partially damaged.

Due to heavy rains, life and financial accidents occurred in various districts of Khyber, Dir Upper and Lower, Chitral Upper, Swat, Bajaur, Shangla, Mansehra, Mohmand, Malakand, Kirk, Tank, Mardan, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Bunir, Hangu, Occurred in Bitgram, Bannu, North and South Waziristan, Kohat, DI Khan and Akzai.

On the special instructions of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PDMA has released 5 crore rupees to the administration of 12 districts affected by the recent rains for financial assistance to the families of those who died. 2 crores to Nowshera, 50 lakhs to Lower Dir, 30 lakhs to Swat and Malakand, 30 lakhs to Upper Dir and Tank 20, 20 lakhs, 10, 10 lakhs to the districts of Chitral Lower, Bitgram, Kirk, Peshawar, and Charsadda. . 1 crore has been released under general relief head to Chitral Lower.

According to PDMA, since March 29, the authority has released 81 million rupees to the administration of various districts to deal with the emergency situation. Funds can be used for financial support and relief activities of the victims as per the relief policy. Help and rehabilitation of the family affected by the rains is our first priority.
