Karachi: A part of the damaged building collapsed in Ranchhod line due to which many people were trapped inside the building.
According to Express News, the urban search and rescue team of Rescue 1122 reached the spot on the information that a part of the damaged building collapsed near Bohra Peer Baloch Park area of Ranchhod Line.
The rescue team pulled five people out of the building safely, out of which one woman was shifted to the hospital.
Meanwhile, DGSBCA visited the affected building in Ranchhore line and took stock of the situation.
DGSBCA said that the affected building was constructed in 1937, which has been issued several eviction notices, three families are living in this building.
DGSBCA said that fortunately there was no loss of life in the incident, all the people living in the building have been rescued.
DGSBA appealed to the residents living in the building to vacate the building so that there is no damage to which the residents assured that they would vacate soon.
