Inquiring into the letter, the Supreme Court bar expressed confidence in appointing Tasadeq Jilani as the head of the commission

Islamabad: The Supreme Court Bar has expressed confidence in appointing Justice (retd) Tasadeq Jilani to head the commission of inquiry to be set up by the government to probe the judges’ letter.

Supreme Court Bar President Shahzad Shaukat said in a statement that the Supreme Court Bar welcomes the appointment of Tasadeq Hussain Jilani as a commission.

He said that if any official of the bar makes a statement regarding Jilani’s confirmation individually, he should not be attributed to the Supreme Court Bar.

It should be noted that the federal cabinet has approved the establishment of a commission headed by Justice (retd) Tasadeq Jilani to investigate the letters of the judges.
