The government has given an indication to bring an impeachment motion against the President Arif Alvi.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that an impeachment motion can be presented against President Arif Alvi.
Talking to Geo News, Rana Sanaullah said that the election is a constitutional requirement, the president is bound by the opinion of the prime minister, every action of the president is connected with the consultation of the prime minister.
The Interior Minister said that the President took an unconstitutional step, proved himself to be Imran Khan’s sycophant, the President should have taken care of the honor of his office if not his own.
He further said that the President of the country acted illegally and unconstitutionally. Even before this, the army chief had fled to Lahore with the file on the appointment. That action of going to Lahore and consulting Imran Khan was not worthy of this office. This action of the President of the country is also very regrettable.
