Peshawar: The PML-N, PPP and JUI have filed a writ petition in the Peshawar High Court for not taking oath from the elected members on certain seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A petition was filed in the court on behalf of the elected members on specific seats.
In the petition, it is stated that it is not intended to take oath of the members on the specific seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the elected members should be sworn in on the specific seats so that they can vote in the Senate elections.
According to the petitioners, the Peshawar High Court has also decided on the specific seats and the Election Commission has issued the notification of the elected members on the specific seats.
It was requested that if the oath is not taken, the Senate elections should be postponed.
