Karachi: The federal government has appointed Ghulam Nabi Memon as IG Sindh, the appointment notification has been issued.
According to Express News, on the recommendation of the Sindh government, the federal government has replaced Rafat Mukhtar Raja and appointed Ghulam Nabi Memon as IG Sindh, while the notification of his appointment has also been issued.
The current IG Rafat Mukhtar Raja has been instructed by the federal government to report to the Establishment Division.
The Sindh government recommended the appointment of Ghulam Nabi Memon on March 4, after which the provincial interior minister Zia Linjar also complained to the federal government that the IG Sindh was not being appointed as per the will of the Sindh government. After 20 days, the notification to appoint Ghulam Nabi Memon has been issued.
Ghulam Nabi Memon has also been posted as IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi, Director Intelligence Bureau Karachi, DIG South, SSP Ghotki, Khairpur, Larkana, Malir and other districts.
