Karachi: A young milk seller who was injured during a robbery incident on March 6 in Syed Village of Malir Cantt died during treatment on Thursday night. The deceased’s marriage was scheduled on March 8.

In Karachi this year, the number of people who died due to robbery resistance reached 39.

According to the details, on March 6, a 27-year-old youth, Jameel, was seriously injured when an armed suspect fired at a milk shop located in Syed Village of Malir Cantt police station during a robbery incident. After struggling for life and death, he died during treatment at Dow Hospital on Thursday night.

SHO Malir Cantt Khushi Muhammad said that around 12:00 PM on March 6, the deceased youth was busy cleaning the milk shop under his house along with his two brothers when a motorcycle rider. The accused reached the shop and took out the weapon, when the victim resisted, the accused opened fire, as a result of which the youth was seriously injured by a bullet near the right side, while the armed accused managed to escape from the spot easily.

The SHO said that a case of the incident has been registered on the complaint of the brother of the deceased youth and the police has obtained the CCTV footage of the area, further investigation of the incident is underway.

The family members of the deceased said that on March 6, the deceased was closing the shop along with his brothers and packing up the goods when suddenly the accused on a motorcycle came to the shop, the accused first fired a shot, on which the deceased Jameel tried to catch him, the accused then shot him. The second shot was also fired which directly hit Jameel, meanwhile the accused managed to escape from the spot.

He said that the marriage of the deceased Jameel was scheduled on March 8 and the wedding preparations were going on in the house. After the incident, the marriage house turned into a mourning house.

He said that there is no such thing as government in Syed Village, the population of Goth is around 15 thousand and there are four to five robbery incidents in Goth every day and no one is going to ask. The police are involved in the incidents, the police have deliberately given free rein to the robberies, there is no peace during the day and there is no peace at night. Rather, arrest the accused involved in the incidents and bring them to justice.

The family members of the slain youth took the dead body and left for the native area of ​​Khairpur Meris, where the slain youth will be buried in the native graveyard.
