Emergency drill by Rangers and Police at Adiala Jail

Rawalpindi: An emergency drill was conducted in Central Jail Adiala Rawalpindi in which Rangers, Police, Rescue 1122 and Bomb Disposal Squad personnel participated.

During the exercise in Adiala Jail, a practical demonstration of dealing with terrorist activities was carried out, while the response time of the police jail staff and the staff of relief agencies in response to the emergency report was also checked.

The presence of the assailant was successfully controlled by the police, rangers during an emergency exercise, after dealing with the attack, a search operation was also conducted by the rangers and police outside the jail and inside the compound.

Punjab Home Department has issued orders to improve security in some other jails including Central Jail Adiala. In view of the security threats, a two-week ban has been imposed on meeting prisoners in other jails, including Adiala Jail.
